RE: [OT] Wireless gateway and repeaters

I use a linksys G WAP and one of their extenders. My situation is the
reverse of yours, Node0 is downstairs and coverage is good, upstairs can
be poor so its hidden in a spare bedroom with HomeVision turning it on
when the alarm detects movement upstairs and off an hour after movement
was last detected.

I know the extender I have is no longer available but it works well, the
only problem with this one is that it will only work with WEP and not
WPA, then again where I live this is not so much of a problem.

Regards
Gary

I've got my wireless gateway in my new node0 and this is fine for the
loft and upstairs. However, signal is poor downstairs. I was wondering
what options I have for extending coverage - new gateway / some kind of
repeater etc?

It's a Linksys Wireless G access point.

Thanks,

Paul.
