[OT] Unable to access network resources

Hi all,

I have tried google, but to no avail. So I thought I would ask if anyone
has
any ideas. On a small (2pc) network we are sharing a printer connected to a
desktop. The laptop is connected to the router (Dlink 504t). Both can
access
the internet fine and both can see the workgroup, with the other PC in.
After startup both PC's can see and access the shared printer through the
network. However after the desktop goes to screensaver, the laptop can
still
see it in the workgroup, however refuses to connect to it, saying it cannot
be found.

Both systems are running XP Home SP2

The laptop will print to the desktop if given its IP address, however seems
unable to connect to it via its computer name.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance

James
