Possibly :-/
Some systems (HP rings a bell...) additionally mark ("tatoo") the
hard
drive so this mark also needs to be transferred. This was on XP though
so I don't know about Vista.

Must be worth a try if you have a spare drive already. If you don't
get anywhere I'll ask a mate as he was looking into this for someone
too.
