Hi,
Just fitted one of these in New Delhi, no not the local curry house....
http://www.falconsat.co.uk/hirschmann-ckr5081-multiswitch-p-1168.html
They do allow you to use a Quad LNB as they send the right voltages and
tones to each of the 4 o/p of the LNB.
The high end installs use Quattro LNBs as 'more expensive'
multi-switches do not always supply the necessary tones / voltages, go
figure...
As Keith says you need for co-ax, one to each of the LNB o/p... The
normal HA mantra applies, always put in more cable than you think you
need....

Hi Sean,
Wont work :(
You need 4 feeds as there are 4 bands. H Lo, H hi, V Lo, V Hi
With only 2 feed going into the switch you will only ever be able to
select
2 of the 4 bands and if the SKY+ box decided to record from two
different
bands to the one you were using on the freesat box something would not
receive the correct signals.
You might be able to do it with 4 feeds going into an 8 or 16 output
switch
but even then you might have problems as they are designed for Quatro
LNBs
which have the 4 distinct outputs. A switch might not send the correct
voltages and tones to switch your quad LNB to the right band.

OK I'll try that again as I must have been distracted towards the end :)
I have a quad LNB running a Sky HD box and Sky plus box. Now if I want a
freesat dish I need at least one feed, which I don't have. I don't fancy
going up the ladder and installing a LNB with more feeds, so I am
thinking
about installing a quatro switch in the loft off of one set of the 2
feeds
and using that to feed 2 boxes. Therefore 3 double feed boxes with a
quad
LNB and a quatro switch.
