Sorry fo the OT but I know there's a lot of knowledge on this kind of
topic=
here:
Screwfix sent me one of their regular email web offers the other day - a
Gr=
ohe wireless shower kit with =A3240 off - really good deal. I planned to
ta=
ke up the offer a few days later but when looking at their web site, the
it=
em was out of stock and marked up again at the old price. Obviously, the
of=
fer had been a great success and they ran out of stock.
My problem with this was that the marketing email stated that all the
offer=
s within it were valid until the 19th October and nowhere did it state
this=
was subject to stock etc.
Does anyone know the legal position on this - fairness aside, is it legal
t=
o offer something and withdraw it at any time without any small print etc?
=
I'm guessing they can pretty much charge what they like and at any time -
b=
ut I hope not???
Cheers,
Paul.
