Re: Wireless Thermostats and Combi prices
Hi,
I had one of these fitted when I replaced my ancient boiler for a combi 2
years ago. after about 6 months I replaced the transmitter for the RF2.
I have not had any problems with them. The RF1 is just a room stat that
displays the room temperature and also indicates when it is calling for
heat - a useful feature. The RF2 is a room stat and 24 hour timer. I have
the combi timer set permanently on and use the RF2 to control the when the
heating is on. If I am at home and I want the heating on when it would
normally be off, you simply press the + button to raise the desired room
temperature until the stat calls for heat. I found the RF2 the better
option, especially as my boiler is remote from the rest of the system and
overriding the system would be a pain.
As far as I am aware, it cannot be interfaced to for remote operation.
There is also an RF3 which is a 7 day timer. The receiver circuit is the
same for all three RF units - it just needs pairing with the new
transmitter.

Subject: [ukha_d] Wireless Thermostats and Combi prices
I was pointed to the Drayton RF1 wireless thermostat for my Viessmann
100 30KW combi boiler.
Has anyone got one? Any good?
Is there any other that someone can recommend the main points are:
It must work well
It must look good!
I don't suppose any are accessible wirelessly so that I can control it
remotely over the internet?
Also for the Viessmann anyone bought one recently? I would be
interested in what price you managed to get. So far the cheapest I
have found is £863 inc vat and delivery.
Regards
Ho Yin
