If you capture your TV recordings on PC take a look at www.orb.com.

It will stream most Media content on your PC - Pics, Music and
Videos. I think it also handle's MCE's DVR-MS recording format.
Think of it as a cheaper but perhaps more versatile version of the
Slingbox.

But the same argument applies : You'll be limited by your ISP's
upload speeds and the hotel's download speed.

Worth a try especially as it's free!
