RE: Fw: Must-haves for the livingroom

Off the top of my head.....

DECT phone?
PVR?
Pronto charging base?
Media PC?
Fishtank?
Touchscreen device?

I should have said a couple of cat5 cables to each corner and
another couple to the long sides (~6m) so should never be more than
3m from a wired network...

Just been through the scheme and am just horified by the number of
cables in total for powered blinds, surround sound, network,
switched mains etc total now ~60 cables in 1 room!!!

Trying to cull this to be more mangeable - what devices in a dining
family / living space need to be permamently powered? If I radially
wire each of the sockets I can put relays on them as I need. But
that means that if I have a lamp switched then any thing else in
that (double) socket would also be switched. I am wondering if that
is a bad thing as I am struggling to think of what electrical
devices I would have in a living room apart from lights and TV
(blinds screens etc permamently wired not to a socket).

TIA
Jon (suffering mental block from thinking about this too much)
