[OT] Building a "main" PC...

Still looking at building a new main PC - trying to decide on processors
now. Got the choice down to a toss up between the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2

2.4Ghz 4Mb Cache 1066 FSB Dual Core and the AMD X2 Dual Core AM2 Athlon 64
6000 3.0GHz 2x1MB Socket AM2 ... They're both about =A3150.

Any thoughts on Pros and Cons on either of these processors?
