The problem you have got is low-voltage is not very good for supplying
power over long distances because of the losses in the wire. Now you
can get round this problem to some extent by increasing the diameter of
the wire carrying the current as this will decrease the resitance in
the wire. A qualified electrician should be able to advise if you can
persuade them you don't want to run a mains cable from the CU.
