I thought the same about the Vigors, and the one I had was a
nightmare,
despite having so much good press. It seems the more recent, more
complicated models can suffer from some serious firmware issues, at least
for certain users/configurations.

So the FWAG114 on eBuyer is a bargain(tm) then? All I want is a reliable
g-wireless router that can hold a VPN connection without needing to be
rebooted every day (unlike my Linksys WAG54GX2).

Thanks, Pete

I did look at Vigor before getting this NetGear FWAG114 because I'd seen
'em
used before and understood that they were the dogs danglies but there's
quite a bit out there that just gave me a few niggling doubts.

This NetGear is End Of Line (the new version doesn't support 802.11a but
does include a USB print server), hence ebuyer are punting it out at about
half its normal price and so I thought I'd give it a go (not having had any
issues with NetGear "blue" before and all that). I have to say
that so far
I'm really impressed with it ... to the extent that when I move I'll carry
on using it and just buy an Ethernet ADSL modem if I can't get cable.
