RE: Xantech IR questions

Hi Rob

If you want 6 zones to a number of common outputs then you simply need to
use a Xantech Splitter such as: http://www.letsautomate.com/10062cfm
the receivers are best connected in a star (or home run) config as this
gives best performance.
If you need to connect each receiver independently (Which I think is what
your saying, sorry I am a little slow today :-)) then you will need a
796-20: http://www.letsautomate.com/11219.cfm
The Xantech website has some good technical info. If you download the
latest cat from the website there are some good application examples in the
first few pages.

Subject: [ukha_d] Xantech IR questions

I have 6 IR zones, now I want to combine the output IR signals from
these 6 zones into some common components.
It's not an option to have multiple emitters (ie 1 from every zone to 1
piece of kit due to lack of emitter outputs and space restrictions to
fit them physically on the kit) so I'm looking at a way to merge the IR
signals into 1 black box and then re-distribute this to 5 + common
outputs.
I also don't want to replace the single zone blocks with a 4 or 6 zone
receiver with common outputs since it would require some extensive
rewiring.

all suggestions welcome.

Rgds,

Rob
