I bought a couple of 20W ones (100W equivalent) and have been quite
pleased with them. They are in the hall and landing so the warm up time is
not too annoying (unlike in the loo at my in-laws). They are nice and
bright once up and running though. Pretty much all the rest of the house
is X10 so presents more of a problem. In the short term though my X10 has
continued to work and having the hall light on all evening for the kids is
costing 1/5th of what it did. They were about 8 quid each though from
B&Q
so the 8 times life promise needs to come fairly true.
