Russound do a plasma friendly ir receiver that will connect into the
Uno, i=
t
is a bit pricey though! Don't have my catalogue handy but there is barrel
version and black widget version from memory. All you need is some cable
from the back of the keypad to the IR receiver position. You can get away
with three or four cores from memory.

Don't know about non-Russound receivers although they may work.

Not sure about replacing the existing receiver in the uno and it is too
col=
d
to go out to the car to check one! I would be a bit wary of doing this
anyway.

Subject: [ukha_d] Plasma friendly IR receiver for Russound?

My Russound Uno wall keypads are great but the IR receiver sucks big time =
=96
they=92re badly affected by LCD and Plasma interference, rendering the IR
pretty useless at times. The do have a wire in IR LED option though, to add
a separate receiver.

Anyone got a recommendation for a separate IR receiver that might work with
these?

Alternatively, is it likely that I could replace the receiver LED for a
plasma/LCD friendly one?

Paul.
