RE: Mobile phone for web browsing and HA use?

We had a look a the T-Mobile HTC based thingy with the slide out
keyboard,
we don't get T-Mobile coverage here, but SWMBO wanted to see one before
making a decision but the local Orange shop didn't have the SPV M3100 in
stock. The keyboard's a bit fiddly, but I was just able to press a single
key with my fat fingers.

This is not the slimmest of phones, but it seems a reasonable compromise
between taking a phone & PDA with you.

If you don't want the keyboard, there's a PDA sized version.

All I need now is a decent tariff without all those texts and inclusive
minutes and a data allocation instead :)
