SCART is the name of the plug, not the signal it sends. Actually, I
think
Pin8 is the widescreen switching - but others more knowledgable can
clarify that. But it did work for me :-)

A Scart can carry composite, svideo, audio, etc, etc

Thanks for the reply Gareth.

Would that solution not just make the TV switch to the Scart input
instead of the S-Video input ?
