RE: Kat5 Anomaly



I bet with the appropriate cable you could get the best of both
worlds...

Although Sky+ boxes don't put out S-video on the SCART (presumably
because they have a dedicated S-video connector), SCART cabling &
connectors does have the pins for carrying S-video doesn't it? (Keith?)

Surely then you should theoretically be able to make/order a custom
cable that can put the S-video signal back into the SCART connection
path outside of the Sky+ box? - Thus having S-video's superior picture
quality (compared to composite), and still retain SCART switching?

Just thinking out loud here, and may be all b*ll*cks.. :-) - Keith D
will know the correct answer for sure...
