RE: Urgent PC Help Needed
Hi,
I'd suggest you first disconnect the drives - power and data.
Check all power connections to mobo.
Ensure RAM is correctly seated, as is the CPU.
Try a power on - see if you get any video output.
If not, there's usually a jumper to reset bios/safe boot - - try that.
Once you've got VGA output, start adding drivers and PCI cards back in.
HTH,
Rob

Subject: [ukha_d] Urgent PC Help Needed
Hi all,
My Vista PC is dead!
I've changed the mobo and the drives appear to spin up but no video
output whatsoever. I've removed all PCI boards and am using the onbard
video card and getting nothing at all on the monitor. Also, no beeps
from the mobo when powering up which is unusual I think. I've tried
with no drives (sata) connected so basically the mobo with its power
connector and nothing else.
Anyone got any ideas as to what could be wrong? Could it be the PSU?
It's an Antec TruePower 380. I've measure the molex connectors and get
12v, etc. but don't know how to measure the mobo power connector as I
can't get the PSU to start up if its not connected.
Any advice really appreciated.
Darren
