Re: Windows Server 2003 - cheapest option?

Hi Chris,

The OEM version comes with a disk. You are entitled to use these if you are
the system builder, ie if you are assembling the machine from separate
parts. The licence stays bound to the machine, it cannot be reinstalled on
a
new machine. I believe that the activation is reasonably tolerant of hard
disk changes, but if the automatic rejects it you should find that the
phone
line will issue a new one. I don't think this is going to be a problem and
would say that it is worth the gamble. Buy the OEM version with a
motherboard and keep the receipts.

Cheers,

David
