CM12U, ActiveHome, and USB com ports

  • Subject: CM12U, ActiveHome, and USB com ports

I've got a CM12U and am trying to use ActiveHome. It insists that my
Prolific USB->RS232 gizmo is "not a valid com port" no matter
what
number I put it on. The Prolific works fine with other serial devices.

Any ideas?
Any other software I could try to test this? Hyperterminal? What
settings?

All I'm wanting to do is download simple macros to the CM12U and a few
timed events.
