Very funny!  LIke I said it depends how far you want to go.

Being serious for a moment though, there is no chance of a small remote
drive in a +/- airtight safe used for a few 10s of minutes every 4 hours
will generate anything like enough heat to be a problem - it never gets
hotter than mildly warm - Now if I was to put my Netgear SC101 in there
that may be a different matter!!!

I can just see the fire investigation report now......

"The source of the fire was found to be a firesafe containing an
electrical device that due to the reduced ventilation overheated causing
the cabling to ignite, and burn along the cable to the nearest source of
combustible material"

Looks like a wifi connected box with a solar panel in the brick shed at
the end of the garden is the way to go.
