Hi all,

In the quest for my audio around the house on a budget i've reached
the next step for me and my housemate.

We both use itunes extensively, ideally looking to both put our
libraries on the main NAS drive and have one box (probably a mac mini)
to run itunes on. We want to be able to have two instances of itunes
running simultaneously on the one box both playing (probably out to
airport expresses around the house).

That part is easy, I can do that using two separate user accounts on
the mac mini, however controlling remotely is an issue.

Ideally looking for some kind of web based itunes remote (many exist
varying quality) however I'm yet to find anything that could somehow
deal with two itunes sessions on one box.

Anyone any ideas!? The only thought i've had so far...(apart from
Sonos and my budget ..(what budget!?!) doesn't get close) would be to
use virtualisation of some sort, possibly get an intel mac mini and
run parallels on it to have a mac itunes session and a pc itunes
session on the one box setup with different up addresses, and then
either use a web remote or even vnc to control.

Potential controller devices are Nokia 770's and a variety of laptops,
so web based control is preferable,

bit of an off the wall way of doing things i accept however airport
express' will suit our needs nicely if we can solve this control issue
without needing a mac mini each!!

BTW Downloaded new version of Indigo today (X10 based HA App for
mac's) very impressed, now has a webserver built in and a very very
simple page builder section, i had a web page up and running in less
than five minutes with buttons to control my few x10 devices.

Not as advanced as many on here but for simple quick access albeit
with far bit of power behind it i was impressed!

Now i've got wifi bridge connected to printer in the upstairs cupboard
means i don't need an x10 remote to turn on when im upstairs! :)

Cheers in advance, sorry for the length of post!

cheers

Noel

p.s. not a closed head here open to options of most kinds! :)
