RE: very[OT] Simple website...
Wordpress - it=92s very like Blogger, and lets you post news and
events as
they come up, plus keep links to the most important stuff in the side bar =
=96
it also lets you have password protected areas for members for contact info
etc.

Freebie download from wordpress.org, works on most hosted webspace (cpanel,
plesk, that sort of thing).

I set up a couple for friends on my own webspace =96 takes about 11MB of
space.

I am looking for some help / advice about website hosting. This is not the
normal and I am open to adverts if anyone here represents hosting
companies=
,
but please read on first.
This is not for me.
My uncle is getting married, and is looking for somewhere to host a website
he and his fianc=E9 can keep up-to-date with information about the wedding,
venue, plans, photos, and other information.
The problem is neither of them is very technical, and so they are looking
for a system which has nice templates, and an online editing system which
they do not need additional software for and is simple enough for them to
d=
o
without having to call or email me every time an update is needed.
The website will not see a significant amount of traffic =96 at most 150
people will be attending the wedding and reception, and my estimate is that
only half of them will even look at the website =96 let alone view it
regularly!
Does that make sense? Does anyone know of any services?
I should mention 2 other requirements (which I have added to their list). I
already own the domain name so would like a way of using this, and
absolutely no advertising.
Dave
