Mind you, I'm in the states and use Time-Warner's RoadRunner cable
modem service
(getting around 7500 Kbps), but typically a "manual" set-up on a
Mac means you plug the
ethernet cable into the port on the back of your Mac and the OS
automatically figures it
out. ;) Worst case scenario would mean you call the cable company for the
particulars; smpt
server info, etc.
