[OT] Shower Pumps...

.just how noisy are they?

I'm thinking of changing our electric shower for a "proper"
thermostatic one
(so that I can get a good hot shower) but our hot water pressure is pants,
cold pressure on the other hand is enough to jetwash barnacles off boat
hulls (well, almost). If I were planning to stay in the house longterm then
I'd consider either fitting a combi boiler or a mains pressure hot water
system but I'm not so the options are stick with the warm trickle from the
leccy shower for now until the house is sold or fit a pump and a
thermostatic shower and make the facilities seem a bit more appealing to
boot!

Obvious location for pump would be under sloped end of bath (which is right
where the existing shower is - not at the "taps" end) so just
wondering
whether installing a pump there is viable or will it be too noisy.

(Obviously I'm very aware that one man's "Bloody hell that's
loud" is
another man's "I can live with that" but just trying to get an
idea.)

Phil
