Trying to help a friend and recover his crashed NTFS disk (mostly
pictures
and MP3's - I did tell him to back them up!!).
I've found a demo version of this that seems to identify most of his
missing

Any other suggestions for what I can try (either free or cheaper) before I
try and convince him to part with $69 for the full version (another program
I tried said that the MFT and its mirror were bad).
