Re: [Fwd: Idratek vs CBUS]
Idratek is wired, like standard C-Bus. But it will do 2 x 2-way, using
DRB-001 modules. I've got something like that, a 3-way in the hall, a 2-way
on the stairs, with the shared switch on the bottom having a button in each
camp, so to speak.
It's potentially retrofittable if you can pull through the control cable
(but then so would C-Bus). In theory you could use a 2-pair wire to a light
switch to reduce diameter (or run it surface down architraves etc like
burglar alarm cables), but then have issues with mains rated insulation.
Or,
if it's possible to pull out the switch wire and run the lamp load feeds to
a central point, you could use the 4-way relay module to switch the loads,
and then pull through the LV control cable in the space that the switch
wire
was. Again, I suppose that would be feasible with CBus also.
Personally, I don't think you get the full power of the Idratek system
without the sensor modules, so also need to get wires under floorboards.
Cheers,
David
