I'd get no live HD content, and I'd miss out on live cricket and football
matches. I'd also have to pay 2-3 times more for a just-as-quick
uncapped ADSL connection.

Yep - thanks to a fast ADSL connection I can watch stuff the day after
it's shown on US TV :)
