Hi All,

=20

I=92m having consistency, speed and stability problems on my wireless
netwo=
rk.
I know there may be a number of causes of this, but basically when we want
to watch streaming video or listen to streaming music, we want it to just
work, and not have to put up with stuttering, resetting the Wireless Access
Point etc.

We have 2 machines. HPTC downstairs, general pc/music video server
upstairs. Laptops and PDA=92s we will continue to use over wireless,
mostl=
y
for browsing / email

I=92m considering going Powerline as it seems to be pretty easy to setup.
Running Ethernet would be awkward and would have a higher associated cost
anyhow.

=20

I=92m not expecting miracles, but I want reliability, better general speed
than wireless. We don=92t have a massive amount of network traffic and I
t=
end
to move big files overnight.

=20

Any advice that anyone has would be great, re: models, experiences good or
bad.

=20

I have a couple of questions if anyone can answer.

1. Presumably I can run >2 of the plug in devices, to extend to another
location e.g. my garage, kitchen etc

2. Security, where does the network effectively end. Could my neighbour
=91see=92 it ?

=20

TIA

Dave
