Cheers for that, I'll have a look for the diskless terrastation,

the synology stuff looks very good, I think that yes i'd up the drive
to a 300gb, I think im going to have to move to Raid 5 to have some
redundancy altho to be honest the thought of losing 300gb is a bit of
a pain (in terms of capacity that is).

Probably not as much as a pain as re-ripping all the dvds!!

As my pc server is only on when i use it not 24/7 (i know i know
shocking!!)  its slightly harder to justify nearly 400 quid for the
NAS!  removal of windows xp issues would be nice tho!!
