Thanks Dave, I have been Googling having been enlightened by previous
posts=
,
though you've turned up a few more links (I was searching on gobo design).
It's for a corporate reception (nothing too grand though), so just a

c
projection behind the reception desk.

As already said there are a few custom gobo places around. Just google
'custom gobo'. I'm sure they could handle your design.
Looking at HYPERLINK "http://www.customgobos.co.uk/"www.customgobos.co.uk
i=
t
suggests that you would need a glass gobo, A Metal gobo would be single
colour and you would see the joins, like a paper stencil really. Glass
gobos are not cheap especially if you need full colour. As suggested DHA
seem to be another supplier.

For single gobo rotation and projection have a look at HYPERLINK
"http://www.martin.com/"www.martin.com
For the specific product =A3199 for a 250w projector with the gobo mounted
internally. This unit can be run full time, is fan cooled and can rotate
the gobo. I can also run a 25 deg or 32 deg beam projection angles for a
bigger or smaller logo.

For more sophisticated projection and multiple you can use a scanner or
moving head, several of which allow interchangeable gobos, The image can
then be moved around the room. You would also need a suitable DMX
controller (=A3100) to control direction, speed, gobo etc. These are more
expensive as you would expect.
A scanner would be something like

/dj
-club.martin.com/product/product.asp?product=3Dmaniascx600
which allows 2 glass and 5 metal gobos, so possibly it could serve more
tha=
n
one use. (=A3499)

Hope this helps.

All, I know somebody will know the answer to this...
I'm after a light unit that will project a logo onto a wall - ideally the
kind of thing you see in your local multiplex cinema where you've got UCI
(or some other brand) spinning around on a wall. I'm not so bothered about
the spinning bit, but the logo would need to be bright (it'll be projected
onto a white wall), sharp, and ideally not look like a stencil - i.e. the
logo is quite complicated, but I don't really want to see the connections
between the different bits of logo, so presumably I'd need some sort of gel
will a metal mask stuck on it?
I'm sure there's a website that has all this info, I just don't know the
technical terms to search for.....
Thanks, Pete
