I have a small relay for example for the garage door to comfort, and
that
is very very quiet.
Not like the "thunk" the standard x10 module makes. Its loud
enough for
you to hear it throughout the house early morning...

But aren't you just going to make the same sort of thing though? with
a relay inside a "mains socket"?
I guess you could use solid state relays, but conventional relays will
still click when going on & off.
Just wondering....
