BTW - would very much like to hear how you get on with the Promise
controller!

I was bitten (nastily) with their ATA133 boards a while back, corrupting
page files in windows on reboot (yes, I'm a windows guy).....wonder how

they've improved, or if it was just a driver issue at the time? :S (I

them out of all our (30+) Dell workstations, and used the onboard
controllers instead - no problems, no noticeable performance degradation).
