Philips Streamium SLM5500

Someone just gave me one of these, seems like a neat gadget although
setup takes forever.  However, it needs software running on the PC that
contains the media files and this sw will only run under XP.  I want to
use my W2003 Server to feed the Streamium but the sw crashes and burns
on this OS.

Anyone else done this? Alternatively, is there any other equivalent sw
that will do the same thing as the Philips one?
