What a coincidence!
Was walking round PC world wondering what those Linksys media players
were all about thinking these need to play HD or blueray... to which I
was wondering why MS have to lock down the 360 and not play other
formats over a lan... get back - catch up on my email and here you have
it!

is there ANY way to get this new update without linking to MS Live? (I
dont have a network connection with the 360 yet!)
Also - can it play from mapped drives rather than media centre? (here's
wishing I suppose)
