Well, well, isn't it easy to fool yourself after a long day's work!  I
took a look at the picture this morning and it REALLY didn't look
right. I quickly shorted the red signal on the rear of the SCART and
there was no difference. Sodding composite! <blush>

Anyway, I metered pin 16 for the blanking signal (now used to do RGB
switching) and got nothing. So, I traced it all back and found that the
blanking signal wasn't getting through my UHF modulator. It may have
SCART through (which is why I bought this model) but it doesn't pass
through RGB SCART! I guess I can try opening it up and adding the
missing four signals (blanking and RGB)

Or does anyone have recommendations for *good* active SCART splitters
(BlueDelta need not apply) or a modulator with SCART passthrough that's
fully connected?
