Thanks all, I'll take a look.

The desk cable trays sound good as the office has a slate floor and I
don't want to see any cables.

Regards
Gary

I'd second the Ikea route. I have had a set of Ikea office furniture in
my home office for about 7 years and it looks as good as the day I put
it in - despite having been worked on every day in the intervening
period. Really substantial "wood" I think the range was called
Billy -
My desk has a drop leaf which is a great idea - On my first morning I
thought I'd put it up to give, me more space while I sorted something
out and its still up with a printer on it etc.

Thinking about how much hammer it has had I really am very impressed -
still the coffee stains and dust might act as a polish or something.

Tim.
