I thought that, too, and fully expected a 300GBP last-year's Dell or
Lonovo (sp?) would be just the thing ... but soon found such dreams
were not reality ... once spec'd, I found there was actually little
in it ...
since then, if RS232 is a requirement, off-the-shelf has got more
difficult, of course ...
(which is not to mention the effect of the Dell web-site ... talk
about long-winded ... 'must lose them a lot of sales)
