Are the laptops losing the connection to the internet or the router?

I had a similar sounding problem when I set up my Dad's wireless router
where the connection between the router and the laptops kept dying

It turned out to be the wireless drivers in XP, swapping them for the Intel
drivers fixed the problem (obviously this depends on the chipset in use and
I can't remember the one that was the problem here)
