I can certainly recommend a 945GM based motherboard - they're normally
to be found in laptops with a Core Solo/Duo/2 Duo processor, but there
are desktop motherboards available.

I'm in the process of switching from an i975/3GHz P4 based server to a
945GM/2GHz Core Duo based one, and the new setup is reporting the same
loading on a 700VA UPS as the old one was reporting on a 2.2kVA one...
