Is it a fluorescent light?

The high frequency fluorescent lights have unity power factor and
are fine to run from a UPS.
The conventional ones are inductive and can be run from a UPS but
the UPS needs to be overrated.  I.E. add about 20% to the wattage of
each fluorescent light.

You may find the light flickers a little in terms of brightness when
running from a line interactive UPS on batteries.
