Re: Re: Recording phone line

I could be wrong, but I believe the law states that the recording of
telephine messages is legal, as long as one or both of the parties involved
knows it is being recorded.

A while back, a senior police office in the Met was found to be recording
all telephone messages. There was a bit of a fuss at the time, but nothing
illeagl occurred because he knew the call was being recorded, even if the
other person didn't. It's only when both parties involved in the phone call
don't know that it is being recorded that the legal quagmire begins.
