50W - 30W ... that doesn't particularly low to me... I can buy a AMD
EE SSF=
2.4ghz that allegedly only uses 34W (idle) and has a hell of a lot more pu=
nch.

Given those sort of figures I'd be better off simply upgrading the server.

I run an Infrant ReadyNAS+ box with two drives, this uses roughly 50W when

fully working and about 30W with the disks spun down.
