I meant the iPod itself. The trouble with viewing by genre or
artist is that it gives you a list of songs filtered that way,
rather than albums. Since I only have full albums, and listen to my
music that way, a list of songs doesn't work for me.
A folder hierarchy of genre/artist/album is so simple and intuitive -
it's frustrating that no-one seems to implement it in their players
Even Vista seems to have lost the folders approach to movies in
favour of the filtered database. This just means that all my TV
episodes get mixed into an alphabetic list of films - not useful.
