I think it depends on the tuner card you are using Jim.  I just have a
Hauppauge in mine, so the channel change has to be communicated over the
IR dongles to the external Digibox, hence the delay.

What tuner are you using?  If you have an analogue capability you'll
probably find those channels change quicker than digital.  I think all
digital freeview boxes are slow.  MCE or not.

Some questions if I may, for the more experienced MCE users on the
group.

Having just purchased my first MCE PC (a Scaleo E), I'm finding that
response to remote control commands is very sluggish at times and, when
channel changing, it can take several seconds with no response before
things
happen.

I'm no stranger to the vagaries of windows (been a professional A/P for
15
years!) but it's surprised me a little that something that is aimed at
the
non-computer market isn't as responsive as I'd expect.

Have I got problems with the unit, or is this normal?
