Fw: ADSL + PSTN over CAT5 cable

Why not leave the adsl signal at the NTE5, install your adsl modem
there,
and then just use the cat5 to send the ethernet signal ? that will ensure
your adsl signal is at it's best.

I dont want to send the full unfiltered signal on one CAT5. I need to see
BT first about getting the old style socket
converted to a NTE5 line box. I then want to split my ADSL and PSTN right
at the master socket and send off
independently (through a faceplate filter) - without compromising my ADSL
signal strength.

After the master socket and any ADSL microfilters, PTSN needs 2 pairs
(only half of the second pair is used though, for the "bell"
signal),
and ADSL a single pair. So you could fit 2xADSL + 1xPTSN on a single
cat5 cable.
If the ADSL connection is sharing a line with the PTSN, you could put a
microfilter at the far end and send the unfiltered signal down one pair.
You still need half a pair for the bell signal, but you will have 2
pairs left for additional ADSL signals.
