While you're at it you could de-dup them. I found this
http://www.bolidesoft.com/imagecomparer.html
It renders the photos down to a small "thumbnail" type identifier
and then compares them - it finds dupes at different resolutions,
irrespective of formats, filenames etc. Its only a trial, but once you
have de-duped once you don't really need it.
