Re: HD DVDs



In the 'paper today, a trial of various HD LCD TVs was reviewed, putting
the Philips 42PF9831D at £3.5k and the Philips 32PF9631D at £1.3k
came-out well ahead of the pack (Sharp LC-37GD8E, JVC LT-40DS7BJ, LG
32LC2D, & Toshiba 47WLT66 were the others) ... mind you, they said the
Toshiba had massive screen resolution, but it's just 1920x1080, so I'm
not sure what to make of it ... might it be better to get a PC monitor
&
TV plug-in ... loads more resolution & a fraction of the cost ?
