I've never seen any with the backs painted, but any aluminium
reflectored
one should reflect out the heat as well. its dichroics that pass heat out
the back of them and often correct the colourtemperature of the light to be
higher.

Osram make some ALU bulbs that dont suck. Otherwise look at cheap halogens,
they are usually aluminium reflector because its cheaper to make.

Hi I'm looking for a good (cheap :-)) source of 50w 12v Halogens BUT ones
with the backs painted black to reflect heat and light? Need a fair few so
pack quantities are good.

Any recommendations? Any sparky suppliers that can accommodate please feel
free to contact me off-list.

Rob
