Re: [OT] Linksys modem

I have a Linksys wireless access point at work.
It stopped working last month, so I investigated.
A very strong smell of burning from the transformer.
Popped it open and a few of the components had melted.

I have two Linsys products at home a wireless access point and a adsl
wireless router.
They both run hot ish.
I only have them on when I use them, I dont leave them on 24hrs a day now
;).

It might just be the power supplies are slightly underpowered for continous
use.
I have since got a non linksys replacement power supply for the work
wireless access point.
It runs a lot cooler and still works fine.
